Ramen Noodles in Korea und Japan

Loved by Koreans and all around world! Ramen, which is a perfect combination with Kimchi and Korean radishes, can be easily cooked by anyone.

Cup noodles are by far the most popular item in Japanese convenience stores! There are even many tourists who buy cup noodles as a souvenir in Japan. Instant noodles are made with noodles boiled once and fried for cooking later time. Nowadays, instant noodles, loved by both Korea and Japan, are said to be invented by Ando Momofuku, a Taiwanese Japanese in Japan after the end of World War II. At that time, there was a lot of wheat flour as a relief item from the US Army.

The first instant noodles were chicken ramen noodles made on the island of Shinshu Shokusan, the predecessor of the Nissin food industry. The early ramen became more popular since then and it is now mostly served in a package and the instant cup. Enjoy a variety of delicious ramen at NikanKitchen!

Simply delicious! And NO MSG!
These noodles are delicious! The flavor is great and if you are a spicy lover, then use the entire spice package! As a long-time instant ramen enthusiast, I would recommend dropping an egg in your soup and let it soft boil for a few minutes so the yolk doesn't fully cook, but if you like your yolk cooked through, then it would be a good idea to just mix up the egg into the soup itself. If you are substituting a meal with this delicious noodle soup, consider adding a chicken drumstick and some green veggies, like romaine lettuce, spinach, and any other leafy green of your choice!

Good but not great.
These are delicious. Such a game changer after years of Maruchan. I bought Ottogi Yeul Ramen Noodles, Hot Pepper Flavor after these and Ottogi's noodles are thicker and chewier. Nongshim noodles are good. I am a slow eater and sometimes reaheat the Nongshim noodles, they sometimes get soggy when I reheat them after they get cold, I don't have that problem with Ottogi. Both are great noodles and at good prices but I prefer Ottogi since it is thicker and chewier.

Not your average ramen!
Let me start off by saying that these noodles are amazing! I followed the recommendations of other reviews and added eggs. For me this makes a MAJOR difference! Adding eggs gives these noodles such great flavor. I found that adding a bullion cube of either chicken or beef to the boiling water enhances the flavor. Once the noodles are boiling in the broth I gently crack a few eggs into the pot and then turn the heat down to simmer for about 3 minutes. While simmering gently tilt the pot back and forth so that the broth coats the eggs. Cook the eggs to your liking and that’s it! I like to add a little red onion in the end for an extra pop of flavor
