What makes TOKYO, Anderson, T (German Edition) different

TOKYO, Anderson, T (German Edition)

A journey to one of the most exciting culinary places in the world.

This book is 'triple' irresistible! 1. thanks to its luxurious decor with embossing, gold foil printing and pink cutting. 2. because of the extraordinary design and photography, which makes the incredible variety of flavors that make up this city, virtually live. 3. because of the authentic stories and recipes.

TOKYO STORIES is an exciting journey with Tokyo connoisseur Tim Anderson, who is just as at home in the labyrinths of the underground department stores as he is in the restaurants on the top luxury hotel floors and in the countless noodle stores, sushi bars and yakitori huts in between. With a sure instinct, he has tracked down the recipes that best reflect the dazzling facets of the urban culinary world. This includes a creamy corn soup from a food vending machine as well as an unexpectedly good cheese-fried chicken from a convenience store. Authentic dishes such as gyoza, ramen, onigiri, homemade curries, udon and more are, of course, not to be missed.

With over 80 locally researched recipes whose sources are reflected in exciting reportage and food photos, and the author's vividly told anecdotes, this book is a must for any Tokyo fan and for anyone who loves damn good Japanese food.

Features: approx. 150 color photographs, approx. 30 color illustrations.

Tim Anderson is a chef, author, and MasterChef champion. He was born and raised in Wisconsin, studied Japanese food culture, and lived in Japan for two years. After moving to London, he won MasterChef in 2011, making him one of the UK's most recognizable voices for Japanese food. In 2013, he opened the pop-up Japanese restaurant Nanban and, in late 2015, the eponymous restaurant in the heart of Brixton, which Michelin says is a successful mix of ramen bar and izakaya.
